Ending With You captures a slice of the incredible panoramic view from Kohi Point in Whakatane at sunset. I snuck away by myself for a drive while in the area and found this spot, popular for couples and families to watch the sunset together.
Those beautiful fading end of day pinks and the people enjoying them had me reflecting on endings, beginnings and relationships, which is how the painting got its name.
A unique viewpoint and shape, this painting has a stunning glow and presence to it that draws you in. It was a finalist along with it’s same shaped partner (which sold) in the Tasman National Art Awards last year.
