Rainbow Study is a painting of a sunrise rainbow at Waihi Beach.
Rainbow Study captures a stunning scene at Waihi Beach. I was busy taking photos of the incredible sunrise, then turned around to the other direction and this breath-taking glowing red rainbow was behind me! I knew it had to be painted.
This piece was made in preparation for a larger work to come soon. Rainbows are notoriously hard to do so this study had to be made to figure out all the colours.
